Privacy Policy
Last updated October 6, 2026
The short version. We collect what we need to run your account, take payment and make our games better. Your card details go to Stripe, never to us. Your game progress is saved in your own browser. We don't sell your personal information. Email support@sedrinogames.com to see or delete your data.
1. Who we are
This policy explains how Sedrino Labs, Inc., doing business as Sedrino Games ("we", "us"), handles personal information when you use our games and websites, including Nightcase (playnightcase.com and nightcase.games) and sedrinogames.com (together, the "Services"). We are the controller of the personal information described here. Contact: support@sedrinogames.com, 1205 East Washington St, Suite 111
Louisville, KY 40206.
2. What we collect
Account information
When you create an account we collect your email address and, if you sign in with Google, the basic profile information Google shares with us (your name, email address and profile picture). Accounts and sign-in are run for us by Clerk, which stores your sign-in details and keeps you signed in. We don't receive your Google password.
Purchases
Payments are handled by Stripe. When you subscribe, you enter your card or other payment details directly with Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe tells us what we need to run your subscription: your plan, its status and renewal date, the country and postal code of your billing address, the card brand and last four digits, and your payment history with us.
Game progress
Your progress in our single-player games (for example which Nightcase scenes you've seen, clues you've found and choices you've made) and your settings are saved locally in your browser's storage on your device. We don't need them on our servers to run the game. Clearing your browser data, or playing on another device or browser, starts fresh.
Multiplayer
Our co-op games connect players directly to each other. To set up a session, our server briefly passes connection details (such as IP addresses and a game code) between the two browsers, and may relay game traffic if a direct connection fails. We don't keep a record of what you do in the game.
Support messages
If you email us, we keep your message, your email address and anything you choose to share so we can help you.
Technical and usage information
Like most websites, our servers and hosting provider (Cloudflare) automatically receive technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages requested and the time of the request, which we use to deliver the Services, keep them secure and fix problems. We may also use basic, privacy-conscious analytics to understand things like how many people start a case or reach the end of a free opening.
Advertising measurement
When we advertise our games, we may use conversion tools from advertising platforms, such as the Meta Pixel, to measure whether our ads work, for example whether someone who clicked an ad started a free case or subscribed. These tools may set cookies or similar identifiers and send event information (such as the page visited and a hashed or pseudonymous identifier) to the platform, which may combine it with what it already knows about you under its own privacy policy. See section 6 for your choices.
3. How we use it
- To provide the Services: create and secure your account, sign you in, and unlock what you've paid for.
- To take payment, manage subscriptions and renewals, and handle refunds and disputes.
- To send service messages, such as receipts, renewal reminders and important changes. We'll only send marketing email if you've agreed, and every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
- To answer support requests.
- To understand how our games are played and improve them, and to measure our advertising.
- To prevent fraud and abuse, keep the Services secure, and comply with the law.
Where the law requires a legal basis (for example in the EU and UK), we rely on performing our contract with you (account, purchases, gameplay), our legitimate interests (security, improving our games, basic analytics), your consent (non-essential cookies and advertising pixels where consent is required), and legal obligations (tax and accounting records).
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising in exchange for money. We share it only with:
- Service providers who run parts of the Services for us under contract, including Clerk (accounts and sign-in), Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (hosting and security), our email delivery provider, and analytics providers. They may use your information only to provide their services to us.
- Advertising platforms such as Meta, limited to the measurement events described above, if we use them.
- Authorities or others when the law requires it, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our players, us or others.
- A successor if our business or a game is sold or merged, in which case this policy continues to apply to your information.
Some US state laws may treat the use of advertising pixels as "sharing" or "targeted advertising". You can opt out as described in section 6.
5. How long we keep it
We keep account information while your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except for records we must keep for tax, accounting or legal reasons (such as payment records, usually kept for up to 7 years) or to resolve disputes. Server logs are kept for a short period for security. Game progress stays in your browser until you clear it.
6. Your choices and rights
- Access, correction and deletion. Email support@sedrinogames.com from the address on your account to get a copy of your data, correct it, or delete your account and the data tied to it. We'll respond within 30 days and may need to confirm it's you.
- Cancel a subscription at any time; see Subscriptions & Refunds. Deleting your account also cancels its subscription.
- Cookies and pixels. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings, use your browser's tracking protection, and adjust ad preferences in your Meta account. We honor the Global Privacy Control signal as a request to opt out of sale or sharing where the law requires.
- Local game progress can be removed by clearing site data for the game in your browser.
Depending on where you live (for example California and other US states, the EU, the UK and others), you may have further rights, such as to object to or restrict processing, to data portability, to withdraw consent, and to not be treated differently for exercising your rights. To use any of them, email us. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. You can use an authorized agent where the law allows.
7. Children
Our Services are not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the higher age required in your country). If you believe a child has given us personal information, email support@sedrinogames.com and we will delete it.
8. Security
We use reputable providers, encrypted connections (HTTPS) and limited access to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but we'll tell you and the authorities about a breach where the law requires.
9. International transfers
We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the US and other countries. Where the law requires, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses for these transfers.
10. Changes
We'll update this policy when our practices change and revise the "Last updated" date. If a change is significant, we'll let you know in advance, for example by email or a notice in the game.
